  1. In a 3 quart saucepan over medium heat, combine all the ingredients and bring to a simmer. Reduce the heat to medium-low and let it cook at a low simmer for 12-14 minutes, whisking gently while it cooks. When it is thick enough to coat the back of a spoon, it is done.
  2. Remove from the heat and let it cool for 15 minutes. Then transfer it to a quart sized jar and refrigerate for a few hours to overnight. It will keep in the refrigerator for up to one month.
