Guided Tours of the Historic Old Mill
Step inside a working gristmill that’s been turning since 1830. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places and part of the Tennessee Civil War Trail, the Old Mill still operates today much as it did nearly two centuries ago. Your guide, Emmitt, grew up around the mill, playing in the millpond as a boy before becoming a miller’s assistant as a teenager. Today, he shares stories, local lore, and the history behind one of the oldest continually operating gristmills in the country. A simple, fascinating experience for all ages.
