Mill Made: Meet the Makers Behind the Craft
At The Old Mill, craftsmanship isn’t just part of what we do, it’s at the heart of who we are. Every bowl, biscuit, jam jar, or scoop of ice cream tells a story passed down over generations. And behind every product is a person whose hands and heart bring it to life.
We call it Mill Made, a simple phrase that means something deeper here in Pigeon Forge. It means more than homemade. Better than scratch-made. It means made with intention, made with heritage, made with pride.
This summer, we’re honored to introduce you to many of the people who carry our legacy forward, one handcrafted piece at a time. These are the folks who roll up their sleeves every day to grind corn on stones powered by the Little Pigeon River, to bake bread before sunrise, to craft taffy in small batches, and to glaze pottery shaped from our own Tennessee clay.
This is the beginning of a special series we’re calling Meet the Makers, where we’ll spotlight the individuals behind our family of Mill Made traditions. From our millers and bakers to our potters and distillers, they are the keepers of craft and stewards of our story.
Come meet the people who make The Old Mill what it is, a place where history lives, and tradition is made fresh every day.
