White Grits

$3.99 To $34.99

Item   OMWCG

A warm bowl of creamy grits is an integral part of a traditional Southern breakfast. If you enjoyed your breakfast at the award-winning Old Mill Restaurant, you'll know what we mean. Our grits are ground the same way that Native Americans and the pioneers did it: by grinding fresh corn between enormous, heavy stones. Early settlers in this area brought their farmed corn to the Old Mill to be ground on stones powered by our giant water wheel. We're still milling grits that way, by grinding the corn hulled kernels into the perfectly-textured white grits that our guests rave about.

Turn leftovers into grit cakes to serve with dinner: smooth them into a loaf pan and refrigerate until firm. Cut into squares or slices; coat with melted butter, and sear in a skillet until browned on both sides and hot.

Grandma's Grits
5/5

Simply wonderful! These are grits from Grandma's breakfast table. You have to have the patience to cook them, but they are so very well worth it! Absolutely the best! Top drawer!

I have been eating grits all of my life. My father grew up in Georgia, so we had plenty of mornings where breakfast consisted of Grits, eggs, bacon, etc. Having lived in Chicago most of my life, it has been difficult to find hearty grits that don't taste like mush. The Grits from Old Mill however, have been truly awesome!! I have been ordering from them now for the past couple of years. I made these grits at our past 2 pancake breakfasts and they were a HUGE hit each time. I added some american cheese and people loved them and often came back for seconds. These grits are hearty and will stick to your ribs. Thanks Old Mill for a wonderful product!!

These are absolutely the very best grits I have ever put on my plate! Real grits are hard to find. And these are just the best! This was my second twenty five pound bag and it will last for a good long while. But when I start running low, you will be hearing from me again! Thank you for such a wonderful, authentic product!

These are wonderful and makes great start to the day. These don't taste anything like those watery stuff you get in a restaurant. Your Bacon & Grits Casserole is great too. Love your grits. The make mr homesick.
